Yes, you heard that right. This is not your typical animal café. Zoology Café is a perfect hangout spot for animal lovers. This is because you can interact with many different wildlife, such as meerkats, chameleon, snake, iguana, sugar gliders and lots more.

Zoology Cafe officially opened in 2019, located at Batu Berendam, Melaka, which is around 10 minutes drive from Malacca International Airport. Upon entering, you’ll find yourself transported into an environment that resembles a mini zoo.

Some of the animals such as hamster, turtles and snakes are placed in glass windows for display. However there’s another room, where the animals could roam freely. Some of the animals are raccoons, prairie dogs, meerkats, hedgehog, rabbit and more. They love being pet and cuddled by visitors. Once you get there, you won’t be able to resist them.

Even for those in love with reptiles, Zoology Cafe might be a little overwhelming because there are many types reptiles in the cafe. You’ll most likely be greeted by the iguanas, bearded dragons, and flocking to your hands. For the thrill seekers out there, you can even request to have the friendly staff to place a snake on your shoulder to take photo with. Don’t worry – they are harmless.

Huskiss Café is a great place to come if you want to hang out with husky dog. They have a pack of friendly husky to make your day paw-some. For those who would like to visit Huskiss, you are encourage to book in advanced especially during weekends, because only a limited amount of people are allowed in at once to avoid the place from being packed.

The Hound Café, which is situated in the bustling Taman OUG, is a pet friendly café all cake lovers shouldn’t miss. Founded by a home baker, The Hound Café serves a number of delicious food and pastries such as black forest, lemon tart and fruit tart. Feel free to bring your own pugs here too, and make friend with their super friendly resident dog – Cookie the Beagle.

The owner has 4 very cute corgis and one shy husky who come and greet you. Food here is non halal, but they have a good variety of food like Smoked Duck Aglio Olio, Salmon Bruschetta, and so on.

8) Big Bone Café

Due to its spacious interior, Big Bone Café is a popular spot to throw parties for animal lovers.
