Rojak & Cendol SS15 @ SS15, Subang Jaya

If you hangout around SS15, Subang Jaya often you would notice a Rojak & Cendol stall situated right in front of KFC. Judging by the long lines of customers, it is inarguably the most popular Rojak & Cendol stall in town.

Although there are no chairs and tables, most people eat on the spot while standing.

Some say a Rojak is incomplete without boiled egg and sambal sotong. Hence we ordered the Rojak Sotong & Telur (RM5) which came with generous amounts of toppings. Ingredients used were pretty standard but what made this dish special is undoubtedly the thick nutty sauce. It was incredibly flavourful and had a strong nutty aroma.

The sauce on its own was only mildly spicy but the addition of sambal sotong brought the spiciness to a whole new level.

Cendol Pulut (RM2.50) had the perfect balance between palm sugar and coconut milk. The blades used are sharper than most cendol stalls hence the shaved ice were much easier on the mouth. Personally we found the pulut quite unnecessary as it does not add much to the cendol. Overall the cendol was rich, sweet and refreshing.

Verdict

Rojak & Cendol SS15 is certainly one of the most wallet friendly and satisfying lunch or tea time options you can find around SS15 area. It’s no wonder both stalls gained a huge following among Subangites.
