4. Paya Indah Wetlands

Paya Indah Wet Lands is a nice and peaceful sanctuary near Dengkil (15 minutes away from Putrajaya), which is occupied by countless species of birds and animals such as Nile hippos, crocodiles, tortoises, pelicans, porcupines and more. If you are there early, you can get to watch Hippopotamus and Crocodile feeding for free. Bicycle rental, guided tours and accommodation are also available for longer visits in this location.

6. Funtopia Courtyard

Funtopia is an indoor colourful climbing centre located in a neighbourhood mall in Subang Jaya. The kids start off by getting kitted out with harnesses and helmet and watching a short video explaining safety rules and the system. It is said that this park is the largest butterfly garden in the world spanning over 80,000 sq feet of landscaped garden with over 5,000 live butterflies, exotic plants, butterfly-host plants and ferns. 10. Zoo Negara

Open for visitors since 1963, Zoo Negara is one of the oldest zoos in Southeast Asia. Today, Zoo Negara houses 400 species of mammals, birds, reptiles, amphibians, and fish and covers an area of about 110 acres making it Malaysia’s biggest zoo. Some of the exhibits at Zoo Negara are pandas, orang utans, Humboldt penguins, African Lions, giraffes and elephants. There are animal feeding sessions and performance scheduled throughout the day, which makes a popular weekend and school holiday outing spot amongst animal lovers.
