A good steak should be juicy, loaded with flavour and little specks of fat. Everyone orders their steak differently but if you want your meat full of flavour and juice, I’d reckon go for medium rare.

1. Jake’s Charbroil Steaks
Jake’s is known as the nice steakhouse along Sprint highway. Do note that although their restaurant may seem a little old school, their steaks are still as good as many years ago. Their steaks are marinated well and the wine list is amazing. A perfect spot to enjoy dinner with your loved ones.

2. The Ship
With a nautical themed going on, you can find yourself being served by captains and crews in Maritime uniforms giving the illusion of dining in a real ship. This fancy restaurant that was considered one of the most romantic spots decades ago still offers a similar menu. You can find their signature Sizzling Tenderloin Steak full of flavour and affordable.

3. Maria’s Steak Cafe
“Nothing fancy, simply good food” – that’s the promise from Maria’s. This down-to-earth steakhouse was founded close to 20 years ago in Ipoh, today they have 3 branches in Klang Valley at Bandar Sunway, Damansara Perdana and Jalan Maarof, Bangsar. Be sure to get your meat perfectly cooked as requested with a nice sear on it, making you want to savour each bite enthusiastically.

4. Colliseum Café & Hotel, Jln Tar
You can never miss this legendary tinted eatery on the streets of Jalan Tuanku Abdul Rahman. Since its first debut in 1921, Coliseum has been an iconic hostelries making it THE place for steaks in Kuala Lumpur. The food is definitely downright old school that gives you a taste of the olden days a little. Don’t forget to give their signature Chateaubriand steaks a try, as it sizzles and smothered in your choice of sauce: black pepper or brown sauce.

5. Las Vacas
Las Vacas doubles up as a deli and a butchery offering an array of cuts and meats at various price points. Their wagyu ribeye and tomahawk is definitely splurge worthy giving you a juicy and tender kick. You can also opt for a wagyu beef burger that leads to a more modest budget.
