Sheng Huat is best known for their multi-layered pork intestines and “Tua Kut”, which translates to “Big Bone” in English. 1Malaysia Superman Mamak has been in operation for more than 20 years! They are not your average mamak. They have unique menu items that are super delicious! Their most popular item is their Roti 1 Malaysia, which is roti that is sprinkled with Milo, peanuts and cereal! It often sells out very quickly. Man, do we envy those who got eat it!

8. Kepong Wai Sek Kai

This Kepong Wai Sek Kai is one of those places that everyone knows. It is best known for the old school makeshift appearance, which also acts as their trademark. Don’t be fooled by the appearance because you will be ultimately spoilt for choice with the amount of stalls there. You must try their famous grilled chicken wings when you are there!

This BKT opens only during the evenings to the wee hours of the morning. They serve three types of BKT here: soup, dry and braised. The pork is flavorful and melts in your mouth just like it should! If you want to have something different, try their pork curry here! It is a specialty here and something you will not regret ordering!

When the day gets rainy, you can’t help but to crave a little steamboat with BBQ on the side. Head on over to Mookata in Kepong Baru. Here you can opt for BBQ sets that come with different cuts of meat with pork balls, glass noodles and some greens. You can also have their regular Thai dishes and single plate dishes if you’re not in a mood for mookata. They do open until 6am so insomniacs, you know where to go when you want some grilled meat.

Many have claimed that San Ching San Hokkien Mee serves the best Hokkien Mee in Kepong. It is located near Kepong’s AEON Big. Their Hokkien Mee has plenty of “wok hei” which is the key ingredient to a good plate of Hokkien Mee. Do get their sides dishes like lala, chicken wings and Nam Yu Fried Pork to go with your noodles.
