NOOKS by Baker Dave @ Sri Hartamas, Kuala Lumpur

Nooks by Baker Dave at Plaza Damas 3, Sri Hartamas Kuala Lumpur is an interesting café which has something for everybody. The café is located directly below the bridge which is connected to Sri Hartamas Shopping Centre. Nooks by Baker Dave stands out due to its unique exterior which is a combination of many wooden elements.

Using crates as tables and exposed planks for its façade, coupled with comforting sofas, colourful furnishers and exposed brick walls design, you can expect a warm and relaxing atmosphere when dining at Nooks by Baker Dave.

Pumpkin (RM11.90) was incredibly rich and creamy, it’s obvious that the pumpkin is freshly blended and cooked till perfection.

The perfect alternative to the otherwise boring dish, Nooks French Toast (RM16) is crispy homemade toast served with strawberry sauce and Gula Melaka. A perfect crispy breakfast for those with a sweet tooth.

Components for the Citrus Mesclun Salad (RM15.90) ranges from lettuce, tomato and orange citrus partnered with orange vinaigrette dressing for minimal bloatation and complex flavours.

Spicy Carbonara (19.90) comes with turkey ham/chicken ham and shitake mushroom, topped with cheese & freshly cracked egg yolk. It’s enjoyable as a perfectly-executed pasta, with fresh and pleasing spicy flavours.

Fresh-tasting and well-textured, Fruity (RM21.90) is a well put dish that offers sufficient sweetness with its ice-cream topping, drizzled strawberry sauce and nutritious elements such as sliced strawberries and bananas.

For those who fear carbs, Grilled Chicken with Golden Egg is a pleasure you can’t fault.

Milkshakes: Peanut Butter (RM 19.00) and Rose Milk (RM 19.00). Peanut Butter has a strong flavour which is slightly overpowered by Espresso flavour while Rose Milk brings a unique taste of syrup and milk.

Yam (RM13) and Pink Guava & Strawberry Cheesecake (RM15).

In a nutshell, Nooks by Baker Dave is an awesome place for a relaxing brunch or hearty lunch.
